Tim and Vania chose a most beautiful day in February to get married. The date was February 22, 2014 and the weather was perfect. The venue was two locations. The first was the most beautiful church nestled in the heart of Ghent in Norfolk, VA. It was the Christ and St. Lukes Church on W. Olney Ave. The building is rich with history and you can see that this place is a pure work of art!
As the bride is walked down the isle everybody is standing to get the first glance of the bride! A Saber Arch is a wedding tradition in which sabers or swords are used to salute the newly married bride and groom. Only the bride and groom pass under the arch.As the ushers wait to greet and help people find their seats I was noticing the windows. The stained glass was over 30 feet tall and covered every window around the church. Here’s a great wide and close up shot of the action at the same moment! Up in the top left picture you can see who is calling all the plays now… The Bridal party all got special gifts from the bride. These unique clutch style purses were a perfect accessory to add to the bridal party ladies.I love to take the bride and groom and sneak them off to a beautiful place and let them catch their breath. After the ceremony and all of the family portraits they just want to have a second to relax before the party begins.
The children are having just as much fun playing “Duck Duck Goose” while waiting for the grand introductions.
The architecture of the building is simple yet very large and elegant. The tall ceiling and huge chandelier are awesome!Red fairytale shoes are all apart of making a wedding day magical. The DJ’s had the guests dancing all night long! It’s always great when everyone has an amazing time!Who’s going to catch the bouquet and garter? A few are ready to jump to it while others duck for cover!!All of the guys got to one knee and sang their hearts out for the new bride!
Special thanks to the amazing vendors who all worked seamlessly together to pull off this amazing event!
